Terms
Last updated 13 October 2026
These terms are between you and Bede Walthew, who makes and runs Paperacers ("we"). By playing, you agree to them. How we handle your data is on the privacy page.
The game
Paperacers is free to play at paperacers.com. We may change it, add features or ads, take parts of it away, or stop it altogether. If we ever close it, we'll say so on the site at least a month before.
Accounts
- You can play without an account. An account is needed to publish tracks, vote, and appear on the daily leaderboard.
- You must be 13 or over to have one, or older where your country's law says so (15 in France).
- One account per person. Keep access to your email to yourself: whoever can read it can sign in as you.
- You can delete your account at any time from the title page.
Playing fair
Don't:
- use bots, scripts or tampered clients to play, or get around the move clock or the server's checks;
- use more than one account to improve your place on the leaderboard, or to like your own tracks;
- pick a racer name, or publish a track, that is offensive, hateful, sexual, or pretends to be someone else;
- attack, overload or try to break into the game or its server.
If you do, we can delete scores or tracks, rename your account, or ban it. A banned account can't sign in, and its email can't make a new one. If you think we got it wrong, write to [email protected].
Your tracks
The tracks you draw are yours. When you publish one, you let us show it in the Marketplace and let every player race it, share it and use it as a starting point for their own tracks, for as long as Paperacers runs. Published tracks don't change. You can unpublish yours at any time; links to it keep working. If you delete your account, your published tracks stay, credited to "a deleted racer". Only publish tracks you made yourself.
What we promise
We do our best to keep the game running and your data safe, but the game is offered as it is: it may have bugs or go offline, and races, scores or saved tracks can be lost. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for that, or for anything that follows from it. Nothing here takes away the rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.
Changes and law
We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the top changes; if a change matters for players with an account, we'll email them before it applies. These terms are governed by French law. If there's a dispute, write to us first: most things are sorted out that way. If not, you can go to the courts where you live, or to a consumer mediator.
